Welcoming Carl’s Van Rental to Fetch

We’re delighted to welcome Carl’s Van Rental as the newest Fetch partner!

Carl’s Van Rentals is family-owned and operated and has been providing the state of Florida with large capacity vans since 1994. Starting out as a used car lot just south of downtown Orlando, Florida, Carl’s Van Rentals had only a few vans, but slowly built a local reputation for having the best prices and service in Orlando.

Carl (yes there is really a Carl!) came up with the idea of opening a van specific rental company when his son’s Little League baseball team qualified to play in a State Championship game. The game wasn’t in Orlando and the entire team needed to go on the trip. After looking all over the Orlando metro area, Carl was unable to find any vehicles that could accommodate over seven people.

Since Carl was operating a used car dealership, he began to stock vans on his lot and in June 1993 started offering the vans for rent.  Since then, we have expanded throughout the state of Florida serving most major metropolitan areas and a majority of Florida’s largest international airports.

We’ve partnered with Cameron Bethmann at Carl’s Van Rental to make their 9′ cargo vans available through Fetch Truck Rental. These trucks are now available to rent in the Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville, with additional cities coming soon. With Fetch, renters can reserve these vehicles 24/7, with vehicle check-in and unlock completely automated through the Fetch app.

We have partnered with Fetch to be able to service the market better as more and more people want on-demand rental options. People these days do not like to talk to people or be bothered with making reservations, providing all the needed paperwork and meeting at certain times. With Fetch, people can rent when they need it, for as long as they need it with no need to ever talk to someone to do it. We look forward to growing our company with Fetch in this new market full of mobility options.

We’re excited to welcome Carl’s Van Rental as the newest Fetch partner. If you’re in the Fort Lauderdale or Jacksonville areas, and need a cargo van, we hope you’ll considering renting with Fetch and Carl’s.

Welcoming Universal Body Shop to Fetch

We’re excited to welcome a new Fetch partner, Universal Body Shop.

Universal Body Shop is one of the best-reviewed auto collision ships in the Atlanta area and has been in business since 2010. Founded by Sergio Monzalvo, Universal offers a range of collision services, including paint and body repair.

Universal Body Shop often assists customers with arranging car rentals during the time that a customer’s vehicle will be out of service for repair.

Universal customers were often frustrated with having to drop their car off at Universal and travel to a different rental car location to pick up their car and then again arrange transportation between locations at drop off. Moreso, Universal also knew they were missing an opportunity to generate additional revenue by providing a rental-car service.

By partnering with Fetch, Universal Body Shop is able to offer its customers rental cars and trucks.

“By using Fetch’s software and platform, we’ve been able to operate our rental operation with only a few hours of time each week. The self-service technology lets our customers reserve the vehicles on their own schedules and lets our staff stay focused on our main collision business.”

“We’ve already been able to generate significant profit with Fetch, and we now want to grow our rental fleet to offer different size vehicles and price points to customers. Fetch makes operating our rental fleet so simple, and we’re very excited to continue growing this side of our business.” – Sergio Monzalvo, CEO of Universal Body Shop.

We’re thrilled to help Universal Body Shop’s team use Fetch’s self-service rental platform to add a rental component to their business, which is ultimately helping them provide a seamless experience for their customers.

Fetch Truck Rental launches in Tupelo and Starkville

We’re thrilled to share that Fetch is expanding beyond Atlanta! We’ve partnered with Casey Skelton to open two new Fetch truck rental locations in Starkville and Tupelo.

Fetch truck rentals are now available to rent on-demand, 24/7, for as little as $20 per hour. With Fetch, you can rent a truck instantly using just your phone. There are no lines to wait in and you can return your truck or van rental 24 hours a day. Best of all, your Fetch truck is reserved just for you, which means your truck won’t be rented to someone else.

“With transportation models rapidly changing, we knew we needed to embrace modern, ‘on-demand’ technology in order to stay relevant.  We found Fetch to be a great technology partner to help us implement our ‘self service’ cargo van rental model.  I am excited to work with the Fetch team to roll this out across our entire fleet.  Our vans are available 24/7 at fetchtruck.com in both Starkville and Tupelo,” Casey Skelton, CEO of One Source Enterprises, said.

We’re thrilled that Fetch is now a part of the communities in Tupelo and Starkville. Whenever you need a truck, whether it’s for just an hour or several weeks, we hope you’ll consider Fetch.

Fetch trucks are now available to rent in Kirkwood

At last! Fetch trucks are now available in downtown Atlanta. You can now rent trucks from Fetch in the Atlanta neighborhood of Kirkwood.

This new location is managed by Alex Chu, a new Fetch partner. We’re thrilled to be able to provide truck and cargo van rentals to residents of Kirkwood and neighboring boroughs such as Grant Park, East Lake, Emory and Virginia Highlands.

Whether you’re moving into a new apartment, picking up furniture or transporting plants for a new landscaping project, Fetch is here to help. Pick up a truck any time – morning or night, for as little as $10/hour.

We hope to see you at our new Kirkwood location soon!

Welcome to Fetch, Alex!

We’re thrilled to welcome a new fleet partner to Fetch, Alex Chu.

Alex has joined Fetch’s self-service marketplace to make his fleet of trucks in Atlanta available to rent.

Alex first discovered Fetch when he and his wife were moving in 2017.

My wife and I were moving, and the last time we moved, we used uHaul, so I did what anyone else would do: I searched on Google for a moving truck to see if someone else was running a special or had a deal, said Alex Chu. That’s how I stumbled upon Fetch. The app-enabled van rental was so easy, I had to give it a shot.

When Fetch launched its marketplace, enabling any fleet owner to use Fetch’s technology and begin offering self-service rentals, Alex knew there was an opportunity to offer trucks on Fetch within the city of Atlanta.

Living inside the perimeter, your only options are uHaul or Home Depot for truck and van rentals. I felt that Fetch was a superior service, and wanted to spread what I thought was the best and easiest van and truck rental experience around.

All of the studies on the future of car ownership are clear: cars will transition from being assets people own to becoming subscription-based products and on-demand services.

I see car ownership going the way of everything else. Subscriptions. And for those who don’t want a subscription, the on-demand world fills the void. Fetch fulfills that need. But, it also allows someone like me, who drives an “impractical” two-door car, not sweat it when I have to move a couch. Just grab a Fetch van for an hour or two, and you’re all set.

In the future, Alex hopes to continue helping eliminate the stress of moving and transportation.

I’d like to have a fleet of rental vehicles. Preferably partnering with some local businesses to ease their logistical needs so they don’t have to own a vehicle full time that they only use part-time, or less!

Fetch Launches First-Ever Truck Rental Marketplace

Today, we’re so excited to unveil the new Fetch marketplace – the first completely self-service marketplace for renting a truck.

For renters, Fetch is now the only mobile, self-service rental experience that lets renters avoid all of the hassles of a traditional truck rental agency, such as waiting in line or renting a truck after hours.

For fleet owners, the Fetch marketplace provides the easiest way to start or expand your own truck-rental business, using the Fetch platform to manage your fleet and generate new income.

Over the past 18 months of developing the Fetch platform with our own fleet of rental trucks, we’ve learned several surprising things:

  • Starting a car-rental company from scratch is nearly an impossible task. Securing fleet insurance, getting vehicle financing and learning how to manage risk are all processes that can take months.
  • Managing a rental fleet isn’t overly difficult. By combining technology with a tight operations schedule, a fleet requires only a minimal amount of time to maintain.
  • Customers love a self-service rental experience. The ability to pick up a car and return it, 24 hours a day – and without waiting in line – is a game changer. Fetch customers return to rent again and again.

With the new Fetch marketplace, we’re opening up the Fetch fleet management system, automated rental process and technology platform to any owner that wants to either build their own rental business or automate management of their existing fleet. Any owner in the United States is now eligible to list their trucks for rent on Fetch.

As part of our benefits for owners, Fetch will:

  • Help you procure rental fleet insurance
  • Assist with vehicle financing so you can quickly procure new vehicles for your fleet
  • Ship you our Fetch vehicle hardware, enabling remote unlocking and vehicle tracking
  • Provide access to our fleet management system
  • List your trucks for rent in our marketplace and connect you with local renters

Entrepreneurs can start with as little as one truck, add their vehicle to the Fetch marketplace, and instantly generate income as Fetch connects you with local renters. And, with the Fetch platform, these vehicles are connected to Fetch’s fleet management platform, enabling a completely self-service rental experience so that owners to do not have to physically meet renters and hand them keys.

“For truck rentals, your only options are typically U-Haul or Home Depot. I felt that Fetch was a superior service, and wanted to spread what I thought was the best and easiest van and truck rental experience around,” said Alex Chu, a new Fetch partner and entrepreneur.

By listing vehicles on Fetch, owners can earn as much as $1,500 per vehicle every month. Unlike franchises that charge exorbitant startup fees, there’s no cost to launch your fleet on Fetch, and you can instantly start generating rental income.

Owners can list their vehicles with Fetch today. Don’t have trucks? Fetch can help you secure financing to build your own rental fleet.

We’re so thrilled to launch the new Fetch marketplace, enable a self-service rental experience for customers, and help entrepreneurs and fleet owners grow their business.
